Error establishing a database connection

This error usually means that either the database name, password, database username or host has been set incorrectly in the wp-config.php file. To bring your website back on-line navigate to the wp-config.php file under the public_html directory in the File Manager and double check that all the database details are set correctly.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /path/to/file.php

This error usually means that there is a syntax error in the file specified. To bring your website back on-line navigate to the specified file and check for syntax errors or white space.

Not Found - The requested URL /catergory/ was not found on this server

This error normally occurs when a .htaccess file does not exist on the server or the default WordPress rewrite rules are missing from the .htaccess file. To bring your website back on-line navigate to the public_html directory in the File Manager and create a new file called .htaccess and enter the following code;

# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>

# END WordPress

500 Internal Server Error

This error can be caused by code in the .htaccess file, to bring the site back on-line rename the .htaccess file to .htaccess.old and then add the default WordPress rewrite rules to the new .htaccess file.

Cannot Modify Header Information - Headers Already Sent

If you see this error message on your website this will most likely mean that there is either a syntax error or white space before the opening <?php tag or after the closing ?> tag typically in the wp-config.php file. To rectify this, replace the wp-config.php file with a recent backup of the file or compare the wp-config.php file to the wp-config-sample.php file.

Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute

When WordPress software is updated a .maintenance file will be installed. To bring the site back on-line navigate to the File Manager in the control panel and then delete the .maintenance file from the public_html directory.
